The excitement about Simply Enchanting's debut hasn't died down yet, as the partnership continues to relish her unexpected win. Of particular note is that 6f is not expected to be this filly's desired distance, and she will more than likely run a flat mile next time out. But this race sure worked for her on her first start.
Trained by Phil D'Amato and piloted by jockey Antonio Fresu, she made quite an impression with her professional demeanor and determined close. Even though she ran a bit green in this first race, taking interest in the grandstand activity at one point, she still showed the aptitude and flashed the talent to get the job done.
