Legitify breezed a half-mile from the gate in :48.20 this morning at Santa Anita. Breaking a step slow on the inside of stablemates Revised Statute and Beach Boulevard, our son of Justify easily took the better-hand of the trio after a few strides.
Settling in nicely down the backstretch, our colt got a little tired turning for home which was not unexpected given it was his first gate-drill and half-mile work in some time. In addition, Revised Statute is much further along in his progression breezing five furlongs with Mike Smith in the irons.
All things remain in good order and the Mandella team remains pleased with his progression.
