Additional Info from Offering:

Lovesick '21 will be guided by one of the game's most successful and best-known trainers in Hall of Famer Todd Pletcher, a true master of his craft. With an unrivaled track record and countless achievements, Pletcher stands out as the reigning Eclipse Award Outstanding Trainer--an honor he's earned a record eight times. There aren't really any categories where Pletcher hasn't succeeded, but among his long list of standouts are many superstar fillies. He trained both 2022 champion 3-year-old filly Nest and 2022 champion older dirt female Malathaat--herself the champion sophomore filly one year prior. And let's not forget the historic victory of Rags to Riches, who triumphed in the 2007 G1 Belmont S.--the first filly to beat the boys in the "Test of the Champion" in over a century. When it comes to nurturing exceptional fillies, Pletcher's expertise shines through.

By entrusting Lovesick '21 to his care, we can be certain that she will be equipped with all the necessary tools to realize her true potential.

Purchased at OBS April for $375K and given time to relax at Silver Springs, this grey filly seamlessly transitioned to Todd Pletcher's barn at Monmouth.

Although initially expected to be a speedy type, she showcased impressive stamina in her latest work, steadily improving as the distance got longer. She recently breezed a half-mile from the gate in :48 flat on Sept. 22, 2023. Assistant trainer Stu Hampson was pleased with her performance.

Previous info:

This Mar. 7 filly put in a super solid :10 1/5 breeze while traveling well within herself, and she galloped out with great energy in :10 4/5 and :23 1/5. She gave the impression of one who will most likely find her home on the dirt. The grey has a beautiful natural stance with a strong shoulder and pretty walk. She’s one who should come to hand pretty quickly and have enough speed to sprint, but there’s plenty of reason to believe she’ll carry her speed over a route of ground.

Todd Pletcher trained both G1 Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile hero Liam’s Map as well as Liam’s Map’s highest earner to date, Colonel Liam ($1.8 million). Liam’s Map has three other top-level winners in his young stallion career, including two Grade 1-winning juvenile fillies.

This filly’s dam, Lovesick (Adios Charlie), made an impressive debut as a juvenile before winning stakes races in her next two starts as a sophomore. She is the full sister to Patternrecognition, the 2018 G1 Cigar Mile Handicap champion. Another half-sister won her debut by five lengths as a 2-year-old and went on to earn multiple stakes wins at three. Further down the pedigree is Rigoletta, a Grade 1 winner, and her son, Battle of Midway, who also triumphed in the Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile.
