Broodmare Band

This is a partnership package of four broodmares, 

officially titled the "Seize The Grey Broodmare Band"

and referenced as full name on sidebar of this site. 

All are in foal to various stallions and will foal out 

in 2025, then be bred back to Seize The Grey. The plan 

is to sell the mares and/or foals, possibly retaining 

one foal to race.

PURCHASED: $275,000 at Keeneland Nov Breeding 

Stock Sale 2024 in foal to Quality Road. 

COVERING SIRE:  Quality Road

FOALED: Filly, chestnut. January 21, 2025. 

FOAL NOTES: Filly, chestnut with right rear sock, star.

Needed Equilox corrective adhesives applied for toe-in. 

Surgery 4/15/25 to add screws to correct growth when 

Equilox didn't get necessary results. 5/6/2025 incisions

have healed. On pasture turnout. Screws will be removed

 upon correction. 5/8/2025- Video sent of mare/foal on 

large pasture turn out with another mare/foal. Both look 

good, filly is growing. 

BRED TO SEIZE THE GREY:  Bred approx. 2/27/2025. 

not in foal on the vet check. (Not unusual.) Re-bred approx.

3/27/2025. Confirmed in foal. May be checked for Regumate.

Ultrasound 20 days post cover (about 4/17), showed twins. 

Smaller pinched. Pregnancy looks good, will be monitored.

Joke Sisi was a 2YO Champion in Chile, 

having won multiple G1 stakes in that country.

FOALED: Colt, dark bay: March 14, 2025 approx. 

FOAL NOTES: At foaling: On smaller side, as 

expected for first foal. Wasn't nursing/showed 

distress first night, treated for infection. Showed 

improvement and was frolicking in turnout within 

a day or two. On 5/6 check. Getting stronger. 

Slight toe-in right hind, may correct with time.

Checked in foal 5/24/2025. 

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

Foaled September 1, 2019 (Southern Hemisphere). 

Chilean 2YO Champion won multiple stakes 

including G1/G2/G3 in Chile (Hippodromo Chile) 

before coming to the US to race, were she won an 

AOC and placed in every race except two, being 4th 

once and 5th once. She competed at Churchill Downs, 

Oaklawn Park, Ellis Park and Laurel Park. Her top 

Equibase figure was 94. Trner Ignacio Corera IV.
