UPDATE: Munny Problem debuted on February 7, 2026 at Gulfstream Park. Hesitation at the start cost him several lengths. Although he showed competitveness during the race, he tired and faded in the stretch to finish 7th. We hope this first learning experience will help build a foundation for a successful career. .

Was "Malibu Bonnie '23" - permanent name decided on December 31, 2024
DOB: [2YO]
Sire: Munnings
Dam: Malibu Bonnie
Update March 2026: After the passing of D. Wayne Lukas in late June 2025, Munny Problem was sent to Highlander Training Center (along with Caldera, and with Trust But Verify already there). Over the course of the next several months, Highlander managed the three while new trainers were sought. Trust But Verify went to Kenny McPeek. Caldera went to Saffie Joseph, Jr.’s Florida string, Munny Problem was later sent to trainer Mike Trombetta’s barn at Gulfstream.
Spring 2025: Munny Problem now in the barn of D. Wayne Lukas, and he appears to be very optimistic about our Munning’s son’s works and progress. Fingers crossed we have yet another good one in the Lukas barn!
December 2024: Currently in early training at Wavertree in Ocala, Florida where he has advanced from first being saddled, to working in a round pen, to exercising in a large grassy paddock, to galloping on Wavertree's dirt track in the first few months of training. Initially a little leery, but now training well with praise from Ciaran Dunne. Appears easy going and enjoying the work. He'll get a break over the Christmas holiday and then begin training toward speed works this spring. He'll be released to trainer D. Wayne Lukas once he has excelled to the point Ciaran Dunne feels he's ready for the track environment. When that happens will depend on how he grows and advances in the coming months.
