Native Brew

 (Was Spanxamillion '23)

Colt

Dark Bay

Foaled: 2023

Sire: Yaupon (by Uncle Mo, top sire, deceased 2025)

Dam: Spanxamillion (by Street Cry, sired Zenyatta, Winx)

NOTES ON SIRE:

Leading horsemen are buzzing about Yaupon’s first crop,

calling them "fast, athletic, and precocious," predicting

immediate success at the sales and racetrack. Tom

McCrocklin and Torie Gladwell specifically highlighted

their impressive speed and athleticism. Even our own

Ciaran Dunne (Wavertree Training Center) describes

Yaupon progeny as quiet professionals who explode

with talent when asked.

PEDIGREE NOTES:

Out of a mare by legendary broodmare sire Street Cry

(sire line of Zenyatta, Winx, and Street Sense),

Native Brew traces directly to 1962 Champion

2YO Filly Smart Deb, giving him a pedigree packed

with proven racing talent.

NOTES ON PHYSICAL:

Native Brew caught our team's eye immediately. With a

powerful shoulder, balanced frame, and striking resemblance

to his sire, he was at the top of Yaupon's highly anticipated

first crop. With so much early promise shown by both the

sire and our colt specifically, it's thrilling to think about what

could lie ahead.

TRAINER NOTES:

Not only will Native Brew be trained by racing’s winningest

conditioner, Steve Asmussen (career earnings exceeding $465M),

but Asmussen himself approached us immediately after we

purchased Native Brew asking to train the colt because he loved

him so much. Steve trained his sire, Yaupon, along with

champions Gun Runner, Curlin, Jackie's Warrior, and Epicenter

—demonstrating his unmatched ability to develop world-class talent.

NOTES ON TRAINING TO DATE (MARCH 2025):

Native Brew is already gate-schooling and breezing impressively

alongside stablemate Black Tie Optional (also in our stable, a son

of Not This Time). He's intelligent, highly professional, and seems

to genuinely enjoy his work—qualities that make him a standout

even at this early stage.
