Lane Way had his first work back this morning at Santa Anita, covering three furlongs in :37 flat. Working solo under his usual exercise rider Jose Contreras, our veteran caught company from the Gaines barn in the turn. He did everything well down the lane and showed plenty of enthusiasm. The Mandella barn was happy to see him back in action and felt that this drill was a good starting point for him.
