Adaay in Asia had her final work this morning at Santa Anita, covering five furlongs in 1:00.40. Working solo under jockey Kazushi Kimura (booked to ride on Sunday), our 5-year-old mare relaxed nicely and traveled well in-hand, galloping out with plenty left in the tank.
Both Kazushi and trainer Phil D’Amato were happy with the daughter of Adaay who has been training very well since her transition to California. Phil shared his thoughts via video following today’s breeze which stated his and jockey Kimura's satisfaction with her work and that he expects she'll be "covered up" early and make a late move in the Las Cienagas if all goes well and she is entered.
Entries for Sunday’s G3 Las Cienegas will be taken on Thursday and we will report back when that happens and update the Upcoming section with post positions and other details.
