Simply Enchanting breezed five furlongs in 1:03 flat this morning at Santa Anita while in company with Honey Pants (stakes-placed daughter of Cairo Prince). With jockey Juan Hernandez aboard, the daughter of Nyquist was asked a bit to keep up with her company but stayed strong throughout the drill.
Juan reported that our 3-year-old went nicely while being steady and that she should be more comfortable going two turns in the future.
Trainer Phil D'Amato feels our targeted maiden special going six and one-half furlongs should be a good starting point and plans on breezing her from the gate next week as a final preparation.
