Simply Enchanting: Work and Potential Plan

Simply Enchanting was back for an easy half-mile drill this morning where she covered the ground in :48 flat. With heavy rain expected to come over the next few days, trainer Phil D’Amato wanted to give our daughter of Nyquist a leg-stretcher before limited training.

She really went from the three-eighths pole, completing three furlongs at the wire and continuing out a half-mile. With Antonio Fresu in the irons, Simply Enchanting accomplished this easily. Phil plans on breezing her back in company in her next breeze but when that exactly will be is to be determined based on weather and track conditions.

Following that work, we'll be closer to firming up our next race plans. Logically, the G3 Santa Ysabel on Mar. 3 will be one of our main considerations.

[Note from us: The Santa Ysabel is a Kentucky Oaks prep race!]
