Secret Crush had his first work back since his debut on Friday morning at Palm Beach Downs. Breezing on the inside of stablemate Heartened (MSW winner), your son of Candy Ride worked steadily to complete a half mile in :48.74. This work continued past the wire for the duo and Secret Crush galloped out well. This was a decent first work back.
We plan to target a one-mile maiden special weight at Gulfstream Park on Mar. 16. As mentioned in the initial race recap, trainer Todd Pletcher's immediate thoughts were to get this colt more distance.
He will have two additional leading up to the race and we would expect at least one of those to be a bit more serious as he prepares for the added distance.
