Secret Crush had his final work this morning at Palm Beach Downs, covering five furlongs in 1:01.17 on the outside of stablemate Gaudette ‘21 ($300,000 unraced son of Violence) . The duo was clocked with fractions of :13.40, :25.60 and :37.60, galloping out well past the wire. This was another solid work for our son of Candy Ride ahead of his career debut.
Following this morning’s works, trainer Todd Pletcher proceeded with entering Secret Crush in our previously mentioned maiden special weight going six furlongs on the dirt on Feb. 10th at Gulfstream Park. Breaking from post 8 in a 12-horse field, top-jockey Irad Ortiz Jr. will be aboard our 3-year-old. Carded as the 8th race of the day, post time will be 3:37 p.m. ET.

You may be aware this colt has been showing tremendous promise in training, but we have yet to see how his talent will translate to the track. Our main wish is that he comes home SAFE and has a productive debut.
OF SPECIAL NOTE: Top jockey Irad Ortiz Jr. will be aboard for his first start.
ALSO OF SPECIAL NOTE: The half brother to CODY'S WISH (Hunt Ball) has also been entered.
INTERESTING SIDE NOTE: El Grande O who earned 10 Kentucky Derby points this weekend with a 2nd place finish in the Withers Stakes at Aqueduct is sired by Take Charge Indy, a half-brother to Secret Crush's dam, Elarose.
