Simply Enchanting had her first easy work back after a rough trip in the Sunland Park Oaks in February, where she placed 3rd in the Kentucky Oaks prep, then returned to Santa Anita with a minor cut, then spiked a temperature, then had weather issues, all affecting her training.
We're super happy to see her getting back on track. With only two starts--a win, and a 3rd in a stakes earning Kentucky Oaks points, she's a very promising young filly and is receiving excellent care in Phil D'Mato's barn.
As a side note, her travel partner to Sunland Park, Stronghold, who won the Sunland Park Derby the same day she ran in the Oaks HAS QUALIFIED for the Kentucky Derby with a huge win in the Santa Anita Derby!
CONGRATULATIONS TO PHIL D'MATO, STRONGHOLD, AND ALL HIS CONNECTIONS!
