It's not very often you can say you've got a horse staring down a potential spot in the starting gates of the Kentucky Derby, so we're excited to say Seize the Grey is officially on the board for the Kentucky Derby as an also-eligible.
He's currently sitting at the 23rd spot [now 22nd], however as we have seen in previous years, a lot can change over the next week.
We will keep all owners up to date on Seize the Grey's quest to the Kentucky Derby! Seize the Grey owners, drink in this moment. Your colt has worked so hard to earn his place and truly deserves it. We owe so much to everyone who has helped get Seize the Grey to where he is now, from his sire and dam, the breeders, the consignors, Ciaran Dunne and Wavertree Stables, D. Wayne Lukas and his team, the grooms who have cared for him throughout his life, down to the Grey himself and his passionate group of owners.
