Fireball Birdie will be entered today for a maiden special weight at Lone Star Park on Friday, April 26th. While your colt has remained training at Oaklawn, trainer Steve Asmussen felt this was the right spot for him where he will be able to face off against some lighter competition while he still gets experience under him. We will follow up after entries are taken.

Fireball Birdie was entered in Friday’s 6th race at Lone Star Park, a 3yo maiden special weight that will be contested over five and one-half furlongs on the dirt. Our 3-year-old colt drew post 3 (of 8) and will be ridden by Stewart Elliot. Post time is 8:50 p.m. CT.
