Fireball Birdie has remained in good order since his debut and returned to Oaklawn Park following a short stint at Ten Mile training center. We should see him return to the work tab shortly and we will follow back up after that.
Follow Up
Fireball Birdie had his first breeze since his debut this morning at Oaklawn Park, covering five furlongs in 1:01.20 while on the outside of stablemate Incursion ($65,000 son of Runhappy with a steady work tab). Under Keith Asmussen, our son of Uncle Mo worked head-to-head with his workmate and finished up well when asked for more. Fireball Birdie galloped out nicely past the furlong pole.
The Asmussen Barn was pleased with today’s drill and we will discuss with Steve in the coming weeks regarding our plan moving forward.
