Seize the Grey had his first work back following his win in the G1 Preakness and was credited with six furlongs in 1:13 flat. Trainer D. Wayne Lukas was thrilled with the work and said, “He galloped out strongly — He was full of himself doing it. He enjoyed it. That’s what you look for, that energy.”
Lukas had your colt galloping out in 1:26 for seven furlongs. The plan is for him to ship to Saratoga Saturday morning and he will have one final tune up breeze next week in preparation for the G1 Belmont Stakes.
Jaime Torres was aboard for today’s work and his thoughts can be seen here (see bottom of article) in an interview with Bloodhorse.
