All the excitement in the last week with Seize The Grey and A Day To Remember put a few of our other horses on the back burner and here's an update on our stakes winning, Santa Anita course record holder Lane Way, who is never to be discounted.
"Lane Way breezed four furlongs in :48 flat on August 2nd at Del Mar. Our veteran gelding handled himself like a pro per usual and visually did it effortlessly.
“He looked like he was just galloping out there,” laughed the Hall of Fame trainer Richard Mandella.
As we have previously mentioned, the G3 Green Flash Handicap on September 2nd is one of our targets but Richard also wants to keep Kentucky Downs open as a possibility and will also keep in mind the $1,000,000 G2 Kentucky Downs Turf Sprint on September 9th.
We still have a few weeks before having to iron out a final decision but all things remain in great order for Lane Way."
