Simply Enchanting's Update/Trainer Named Leading Trainer

We want to congratulate Simply Enchanting’s (future) trainer Phil D’Amato for being named Leading Trainer at the Santa Anita Classic Meet!

He had a total of 32 wins--including 6 graded stakes victories! This is his third consecutive title for the Classic meet (formerly called the winter-spring meet) and his fourth overall at Santa Anita.

Simply Enchanting (Nyquist x Enchante) will be in very good hands when she leaves the training farm in Ocala for Phil D'Amato's barn in California in just a few weeks!

Her latest update today said:

Simply Enchanting worked an easy three furlongs on Friday morning at Wavertree in Ocala, Florida alongside her stablemate (Uncle Mo-Knarsdale filly).Trainer Ciaran Dunne wasn't asking much of the fillies during this workout, wanting them to go each furlong in about 14 seconds, which they accomplished with ease. This week Simply Enchanting will be asked to pick up the pace a bit and if all goes well with her next few workouts, she'll be a candidate to ship out to Phil D'Amato's Santa Anita barn right around early-mid May.
