Speed works have started for some of our 2YOs, and the initial reports are very encouraging. To date, we've gotten speed work updates on four of the seven including:
Secret Crush (Florida)
Lady Blitz (Florida)
Song of the Lark '21 (Texas)
Enchante '21 (Florida)
Speed works are running short distances (currently a furlong or so) at speed to get the youngsters on their toes. Ultimately, this will be beneficial to all areas of training, and the goal is to have them do less speed works, rather than more.
We'll keep you posted on their progress as we hear more.
