Black Tie Optional had his first official breeze this morning at Los Alamitos, covering two furlongs in :23.60 while on the outside of unnamed stablemate, Front Range ’23 (Authentic). Our son of Not This Time was a bit green around the turn, but straightened out nicely in the stretch, showing plenty of competitiveness to the wire. He seemed to be traveling better over the Los Alamitos surface than he had the surface down at Wavertree (Florida).
Assistant trainer Mike Marlow is happy with the improvements your colt has made mentally since first arriving to the barn. Fingers crossed he only continues to move forward from here.
